Maharashtra CMO to House owners- No Eviction of tenants, Postpone recovery of pending rent
Due to pandamic Covid19 almost all the citizens who are doing the business or private job or working for daily living are are at home. Many industries have collapsed which could not recover and having direct impact of Covid19 like Tourism, hotel.
Due to the said situation in city, Maharashtra Government issues advisory presented by Shri. Sanjay Kumar .
Present lock down is already extended till May 3, 2020.
In the above intimation is expressed that due to Covid19 already all the business and factories are stopped working and that cause huge unemployment. Most of the people are having limited sources for the delay living.
What is to be done – The recovery of the payment should be postponed for the next 3 months.
Since most of the citizens are having no sources of income, it is became difficult for most of them to pay the regular rent especially for the month of lock down. there are already several disputed took place due to demand of rent and non payment of the same by the tenant. Citizens are trying to securing the liquid funds in order to survive the upcoming situation and want to avoid the difficulties due to lack of funds. Due to Covid19 situation Government issued advisory that No eviction will took place next 3 months. recovery of pending rent should be postponed for next three months and in cases of non payment of rent tenant should not be evicted.
What is to be avoided – the tenant fails to make the payment on time, they should not be evicted.

There are several online rent agreement are already pending in government sub registrar offices and several leave and license agreement are already due for the renewal, in such situation it will be difficult for many house owner to renew the existing rent agreement even through online rent agreement registration portal of Maharashtra.
Presently rent agreement registration online is possible but it requires all the parties to be present at one place. since the Sub register offices are closed there are chances of pendency of several online registrations. In such difficult time it will be wise for every house owner to follow the aforesaid advisory in order to help each other and avoid further litigation.
